ADHD Burnout in Kids, Teens and Young Adults
What looks like “laziness” may actually be ADHD burnout.
When everyday demands consistently exceed a child’s capacity, they may become exhausted, overwhelmed, irritable, or shut down.
It doesn’t mean they don’t care.
It may mean they’ve been trying too hard for too long.
Before asking, “Why aren’t you trying?” try asking:
“What might be making this so hard right now?”
Save this for later and share it with a parent who needs the reminder.
