Rachael Berringer is a Licensed Family and Child Therapist and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with over 20 years of experience supporting children and families across school and private practice settings. She specializes in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), with a strong emphasis on developmentally appropriate play therapy techniques.
Rachael has extensive experience working with neurodiverse populations, including children with ADHD and autism. She brings a compassionate, strengths-based approach that honors each child’s individuality and supports growth within the context of their family and environment. Her approach is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in building real, lasting connections.
In addition to her work with children, Rachael works closely with parents to help them better understand both their children and themselves. She provides support through parent coaching, individual therapy, and couples counseling, recognizing that the well-being of the whole family system is key to meaningful change. Her practice offers a range of services, including individual, couples, parenting, and play therapy, all grounded in a holistic, developmentally informed framework.
As a mother of two, Rachael brings not only professional expertise but also personal insight into the joys and challenges of parenting. While she is highly trained in clinical methods, she is also deeply real and down to earth, creating a therapeutic space that is both approachable and effective.
Rachael currently offers therapy services through PEC, where she helps clients of all ages reconnect with their inner strengths and shine from the inside out.
