Psycho-Educational Evaluations

Our comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations are designed to provide insight into key areas of cognitive, intellectual, and executive functioning for:

  • Children

  • Adolescents

  • Young Adults

  • Adults

We specialize in the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety and learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia) with a focus on helping families understand how these profiles may impact eligibility for a 504 Accommodation Plan or an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

In addition, we offer Giftedness Testing and evaluations for Twice Exceptional (2E) individuals to support appropriate school placement, programming, and services.

What Our Evaluations Include:

At the conclusion of the evaluation process, you will receive a detailed, easy-to-understand report that covers a wide range of functioning, including:

  • Intelligence Quotient (IQ)

  • All major areas of academic performance (e.g., reading comprehension, reading fluency, mathematical reasoning, spelling, and written expression)

  • Learning style and academic processing

  • Attention, focus, and follow-through

  • Problem-solving abilities

  • Cognitive flexibility and adaptability

  • Impulse control and self-regulation

  • Emotional functioning

  • Relevant diagnostic impressions

  • Recommended accommodations for both school and home settings

Our reports are Child Study Team-friendly and are written to clearly support your child’s needs. We can also attend Child Study Team meetings with you to advocate for the appropriate services and programs, guided by your child’s evaluation data.

We can also serve as your expert alongside your Special Education Attorney in order to provide the data to make the argument for the appropriate program or out-of-district placement.

Divorcing/Divorced and Not in Agreement with your Child or Children’s School Placement?

We can provide a psycho-educational evaluation, observe school placements and make recommendations for school placements.

College & Graduate School 504 Plans & Testing Accommodations

Our evaluations can also be used to support accommodations in higher education settings, including colleges and universities, through 504 Accommodation Plans.

We can assist in gaining accommodations for standardized testing, including:

"Dr. Liz is the best! Our family was directed to her by our Pediatrician to assist with figuring out severe mood changes, severe anxiety, strange new fears and food aversion that had come onto one of our children literally overnight. After just a couple of visits, she suggested that the issues may actually be rooted in a physical issue and suggested we immediately take our child to be swabbed for strep, because Dr. Liz suspected PANDAS (a pediatric autoimmune disorder brought on by strep). The same Pediatrician that suggested Dr. Liz would not do the swab (they do not believe in PANDAS and we no longer go there) but I took my child to my doctor who did the swab and it was positive for strep. When our child went on antibiotics, within 24 hours all symptoms went away and our child was back :-) Dr. Liz then recommended a PANDAS specialist who helped us and our child is in complete remission and is happy and healthy. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Liz for her knowledge of all things, even the most remote and unusual and for helping us so much! Thank you!"
