I’m sharing an article on the signs of dyslexia in school age children. To summarize, dyslexia is a learning disorder that affects reading. It does not mean, by any stretch, that a child is not intelligent. Here are some key signs that a student is struggling with dyslexia:
- speech delay
- difficulty with rhyming
- difficulty with sequencing
- difficulty following instructions in order
- slow processing of information presented verbally or in writing
- requiring additional time to complete class work
- seeing or writing letters in reverse
