Helping Children Thrive During COVID-19: Academic and Emotional Success
About this Event
Covid-19 has had a tremendous impact on our almost every aspect of our lives. One significant change that we have encountered is our children being out of school for an extended period of time. This has led parents to wonder if their children’s academic and emotional needs are being adequately met.
Now that we’ve been homeschooling our children for a few months, many of us are aware of our child’s academic skills, their strengths and their weaknesses. Some of you may be wondering if your child is showing signs of a learning disability, ADHD, anxiety, or weaker executive functioning skills. Join Dr. Liz while she discusses the signs to look for and how to gain academic supports for your child.
During this time, you may have also noticed changes in your child’s mood, difficulties with their behaviors, or concerns about their social skills. Join Dr. Craig Springer for some self-help tips for promoting social, emotional and behavioral development at home as well as signs and symptoms that may warrant professional assistance.
